Union Farm Eating House, better known at home as “Chee Pow Kai” (Cantonese for “paper wrapped chicken”) is a place we’ve visited as a family since I was a small child. Oddly enough, its never the paper wrapped chicken that has me wanting more but the sesame oil egg/rice noodles (you can see on the corner of photo 02. I’ve already polished off a plate). The best thing about the noodles here is that it really is just noodles, no tiny pieces of seafood or chicken or corn etc that you’d find elsewhere, straight up noodles. We went there again today for lunch with my Grandma and Uncle and the place hasn’t changed a single bit, still resembles a restaurant on stilts out of 1960’s Singapore, food still great and noodles still my favourite.
