Port Lincoln Part 01:
On Friday, we were supposed to fly in to Adelaide for a night to catch up with old friends and attend some other friends’ art exhibition. When we got to the Melbourne Airport, we encountered a series of issues resulting in missing the check-in time/flight to Adelaide by two minutes. Result of bad service by Qantas/Jet Star service staff at the airport. We were then put on the next flight which was a 6AM flight the following morning to Adelaide, missing the whole art show and our friends.
The following morning, we headed straight to Port Lincoln via a quick Adelaide transit stop. This was my first time visiting Port Lincoln and first time back in the country in many months. There we met up with Sarah’s parents who kindly gave me a morning tour of the county town, the many jetties, the lack of buildings taller than two floors, the farms, and a few of the many beautiful look-outs. Lincoln was impressive, the air was fresh, everyone knew everyone else, the weather was fortunately sunny during the day, and the seafood (obviously) was so fresh! It was really quiet too, which was one of the first few things I noticed when I stepped out of the car.
