Zoë Keating:

I discovered the music of Zoë Keating only some three weeks ago when I was visiting older episodes of WNYC’s Radiolab and heard the podcast titled “Quantum Cello.” Using live electronic sampling and layering, her music in some ways can be compared to the music of early American minimalist composers such as Terry Riley, where the music is rhythmically based and builds up and subtracts throughout the course of a movement. These are two tracks I love.
