Last night/Tonight was the night of the RaRa, Friendships and Peach Lovely gig at The Gasometer Hotel. A group of us headed in to the venue a little earlier in the day to set up gear and soundcheck… I tagged along to set up my camera gear. After setting up and meeting everybody, Tom, Mike and myself decided that the import beers they served at the bar were far too expensive and that we split a case of our own from a bottle shop down the (Johnston) street. We borrowed Peach Lovely AKA Ben Caruso’s sweet duffle bag and went for a walk. After transferring the bottles from box to bag, we strolled down the hipster infested back streets of Collingwood/Fitzroy back towards the Gasometer. On the way, we came across a set of living room furniture neatly arranged out the back of the Salvation Army, we couldn’t help but take a break, sip back on a few beers and talk about movies we’ve watched and growing up. It was definitely a good night, I’ll put up a few photos I took during the show in another post. RaRa are VERY entertaining live.
