Ricoh 500GX x Supermarket film test roll:

I got my roll of regular Kodak 400 “Supermarket film” used as a test roll for my Ricoh 500GX back today. I bought the camera for cheap at a semi record/camera shop in one of the arcades in Adelaide a bit over a week ago and despite its near mint condition, I was paranoid there may have been light leaks or jams when it came to actually shooting with it. Instead, the camera seemed to functioned extremely smoothly and the developed photos came back looking superb. Keep in mind that when I shot this roll I didn’t really focus on the sharpness/focussing, I simply estimated most of the distances as you would on a plastic toy camera. I played around with both the automatic and manual aperture functions, and also gave the multiple exposure switch a flick with the third to last photo below. It’s been close to a year since I took any of my analog cameras out for a play but this rangefinder has definitely gotten me back into shooting analog again. I’m currently shooting a roll of Ilford Delta 3200 and am keen as beans to see the results once I’m done.
